At Safe Haven Ranch, we believe healing happens through consistent love, healthy relationships, and a home filled with grace, structure, and hope. Our Houseparents are at the heart of that mission. They don't simply supervise children—they become trusted adults who help young people experience the stability and unconditional care they may have never known.
If God has given you a heart for serving children and families, becoming a Houseparent may be the calling you've been praying for.
What Does a Houseparent Do?
Houseparents provide a Christ-centered, family-style home where children and teens can grow emotionally, spiritually, academically, and socially.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating a safe, loving, and structured home environment
- Building healthy relationships with each child
- Preparing meals and maintaining a welcoming home
- Helping with homework and encouraging academic success
- Teaching practical life skills and personal responsibility
- Modeling Christian values through everyday life
- Transporting children to appointments, school, activities, and church
- Working closely with our ministry team to support each child's individual care plan
The greatest responsibility isn't checking off tasks—it's helping children discover they are deeply loved and have a future filled with hope.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for married couples who:
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Feel called to minister to children and families
- Demonstrate patience, compassion, and emotional maturity
- Can provide healthy boundaries while showing unconditional love
- Work well as part of a ministry team
- Desire to make an eternal difference in the lives of hurting children
You don't have to be perfect.
You simply need a willing heart, teachable spirit, and a desire to faithfully serve where God has called you.
