About Us

                Our Founders

Meet Jason and Ginger Slaughter, the founders of Safe Haven Ranch. They have answered God’s call to provide safe and loving Christian homes to children in need. Leaving behind their profitable cellphone business, Cedar Valley Communication, they started Community Share Ministry in 2011, which runs a men’s, women’s, and children’s home. The Children’s home and Jason and Ginger’s Household have cared for over 70 children. In 2022, they launched Safe Haven Boy’s Ranch, which will house up to 60 boys in 12 homes. The Slaughters have poured their hearts and souls into these ministries to ensure that these children, men and women are well taken care of. We are excited to see the future of Safe Haven Ranch.

                                                                   Our Mission

Meet Our Board Members

Jason Slaughter, Founder and Chairman

Jason Slaughter is the Founder of Safe Haven Ranch and serves on the board as Chairman. A lifelong public servant and entrepreneur, Jason has dedicated his life to serving others and creating opportunities for children and families in need.

Jason began his leadership journey at age 21 when he was elected Polk County Commissioner, serving for eight years. He later operated his family's business, Slaughter Sales and Groceries, before founding Cedar Valley Communications, which grew to five retail locations. Throughout those years, he also faithfully served his church as a youth director and deacon.

In 2011, God called Jason to leave the business world and pursue full-time ministry. He founded Community Share Ministries to provide safe, loving homes for men, women, and children rebuilding their lives. That vision continued to grow when God provided 45 acres for what became Safe Haven Boys Ranch—a Christ-centered home where boys can heal, grow, and thrive. The long-term vision includes twelve homes serving up to seventy-two boys, with plans to one day establish a girls' ranch as well.

Jason and his wife, Ginger, have been married for 27 years and are the proud parents of four children.
